kThanks Program Guidelines

Welcome to kThanks, Kinertia’s recognition program inspired by Google’s Gthanks. kThanks allows clients and team members to highlight individuals who go above and beyond. It’s a way to say “you crushed it” when someone makes your day easier, helps your project succeed, or steps up when it matters most.

Why We Built kThanks

We work with high-performing people in fast-moving environments. But when people are embedded across teams, good work can sometimes go unrecognized. kThanks gives you a voice to lift someone up. And it gives our leadership visibility into what’s really making a difference across client engagements.

How It Works

  • Select a Kinertia team member from the dropdown.
  • Write a brief message describing their contribution.
  • The message is sent to the recipient and logged privately.
  • Leadership reviews submissions monthly for recognition, bonuses, and promotions.

Ground Rules

  • No fluff. Recognize meaningful, above-and-beyond contributions only.
  • Limit: 4 submissions per client user per quarter.
  • Limit: 6 earned kThanks per Kinertia team member per year (others are honorary).
  • No mutual trades. Don’t suggest or request reciprocal kThanks.
  • No mass recognition. Only individual submissions will be considered.

Examples That Will Be Ignored

  • “Thanks for doing your normal job!”
  • “Shoutout to the whole team for being here.”
  • “Let’s trade kThanks this week.”

Great kThanks Examples

  • “Devon flagged a critical issue in the dashboard that saved us from reporting the wrong metrics to Google.”
  • “Sophia took on a client-facing walkthrough solo and the feedback was that it was the best we’ve ever delivered.”
  • “Alex rewrote the pipeline so we could go from days to hours on reporting. It changed our weekly cadence.”
